Required Education & Experience:

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled in full-time Master’s or Bachelor’s program in Mechanical, Aerospace or related Engineering field with exposure to Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, AI or Statistics.
• Proficient in implementing algorithms, data pipelines and solutions in Python.
• Self-starter, ability to work in ambiguous environments, and excellent communication skills.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience of working with problems and data from industrial domains (Aviation, Energy, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities: 

Looking for highly motivated people with proven track record with using statistical and analytical methods. As an Analytics Intern, you will be working with engineers in GE Aerospace to explore and develop methods that can help improve engine fleet performance.

• Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing algorithms to process Aerospace domain data for recommendation systems, design experiments, conduct thorough evaluations, and document your.
• It will also include effectively communicating your findings with the appropriate stakeholders. You will encounter and have an opportunity to tackle unique challenges posed by the data and problems in the Aerospace domain including data quality, highly domain specific vocabulary, and how to integrate solutions into our safety critical and regulated workflows and processes.

As a group, Build analytics that provide insights that help our customers make better informed maintenance decisions for GE Aerospace engines by extracting insights from data that indicate engine health as well as predicting what parts might need to be serviced in an engine.
