Role Summary:–
The Tool Leader owns all aspects related to a specific set of engineering tools; he / she is
responsible for:
* the capacity of the tool to fulfill the need of the internal users in coherence with the quality
system;
* the quality, efficiency, and ease of use of the tool;
* the interface with the engineering community to define the needs, with IT team for development
and validation, and with the users for support and feedback;
* the release and training strategy for the tool.
Essential Responsibilities:–
· Gathers and understand the requirements from the internal customers
•Understand implementation of similar tools across GE Renewable, and GE in general, as well as
external implementations
•Interfaces with the IT team / development team to establish and negotiate specifications.
•Drives tool development and new versions development, monitors and reports on progress
•Validate tool, including adequation to the need, robustness, ease of use, and efficiency.
•Drives deployment plan including installation to users, training.
•Drives support to the tool, including all relevant means (hotline / mail support / development of a
key user community / knowledge sharing tools)
•Ensure delivery of management metrics from the tool, both in terms of tool usage metrics, and of business metrics delivered through using the tool. used for managing the business
