Detailed Eligibility:
Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech (including Dual Degree programs) or a Ph.D. can apply. You need a minimum of 70% or 7.0 CGPA in your current degree. Skill requirements differ by role: the AI & Data role looks for strong Python, data structures and ML basics, the Quantum Algorithms role wants Qiskit and quantum computing foundations, and the AI role asks for exposure to RL libraries, LLM fundamentals and containerization. Research students, especially senior PhDs, get preference for the Quantum Algorithms role.
- Pursuing B.E. / B.Tech, M.E. / M.Tech (including Dual Degree programs) or Ph.D.
- Minimum 70% or 7.0 CGPA and above in the pursuing degree
- Available for the internship between May and August 2027, for a maximum duration of 3 months
- AI & Data: Excellent coding skills in Python (including Pandas, NumPy), strong grasp of Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving
- AI & Data: Solid foundation in Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics; hands-on experience with VS Code, Jupyter Notebooks and Git
- AI & Data: AI/ML fundamentals (supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression, neural networks, clustering) and proficiency in TensorFlow and PyTorch
- AI & Data: Experience in Deep Learning, Foundation Models and Large Language Models; familiarity with Generative AI frameworks such as langchain and crew.ai; expertise in unstructured data processing
- Quantum Algorithms: Theoretical foundations in quantum computing, including algorithms like QAOA and sampling-based diagonalization algorithms
- Quantum Algorithms: Strong coding skill in Qiskit and ability to read research papers on quantum algorithms and implement their methodology
- Research students, especially senior PhDs, are given preference for the Quantum Algorithms role
- AI: Exposure to popular RL libraries and hands-on experience with RL training; familiarity with linear algebra, probability, statistics and LLM fundamentals
- AI: Git, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift), exposure to Triton and Hugging Face, AI Accelerator software stack and architectures, NCCL and compilers

Responsibilities:
- Work on current projects happening in the lab and solve problems with the help of mentors
- AI & Data: Contribute to R&D across AI, including AI for IT automation, intersection of data and AI, agentic middleware and models, embedding and AI-based retrieval, time series foundation models, multi-modal foundation models and AI for software engineering
- AI & Data: Work on innovation projects grounded in real-world datasets, environments and problems, with a focus on agentic AI for enterprise applications
- Quantum Algorithms: Work with the Quantum Algorithm Engineering team to produce demonstrations on IBM Quantum hardware
- AI: Work on areas such as building and scaling large language models, agentic systems with small language models, auto evolution of agents including testing and debugging, software stack for AI Accelerator cards, and programmable language models
