Required Qualifications & Skills:–

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer applications or related field.
• Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills.
• Exhibit good time management skills and the ability to follow established processes
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Strong understanding of Application Software engineering concepts and practices.
• Prior experience with enterprise systems including CRM, Industry applications, ERP and their corresponding business domain knowledge
• Preferred experience developing integrations using APIs
• Knowledge of Application Software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, J2EE, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL
• Pega 8.x experience/certification is a plus.
• Experience/Certification in any enterprise applications is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities (What You’ll Do at Pega):

As an Associate Application Engineer in this role, you’ll collaborate with a self-organized team to devise and execute solutions for Blueprint product development. Harnessing both industry expertise and Pega’s cutting-edge technology, the team crafts products that address business challenges and enhance operational efficiencies for our customers. • Application Software Design and Development
• Design, develop and implement high quality Application Software by following suggested design patterns and programming best practices using Pega Platform
• Design applications from modeling the data schema to building out the process flows to creating mock-ups for the interfaces leveraging Pega’s Low code development methodology
• Understand and deliver solutions to the business problem with end user empathy.
• Execute processes according to the Application Software Development Life Cycle.
• Work as part of a collaborative agile team of talented engineers following Agile methodologies
• Take ownership of a bug or a task and drive it to completion
• Develop and execute unit test cases to draft test your work
• Follow scrum practices and report work status, progress and impediments in a timely fashion
• Become technically proficient with Pega Platform technology/tools
• Learn to use platform diagnostic tools to identify and communicate any potential risks/defects in the application
