Required Qualifications & Skills:-
- Minimum 1 year of experience in fields of standards and roadmaps and/or end user computing specifically.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or demonstrable experience in similar role for a Global organization like Deloitte.
- Proven experience in laptop data recovery and handling various data loss scenarios, including ransomware incidents.
- Previous work in computer repair, IT support, or cybersecurity is desirable.
- Ability to diagnose complex laptop issues and implement effective solutions to recover data successfully, especially after ransomware attacks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, explain technical concepts clearly, and provide guidance on ransomware prevention measures.
- Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining the confidentiality of recovered data, particularly in sensitive ransomware recovery cases.
- Capacity to handle various laptop models and operating systems and adapt to new data recovery and ransomware recovery techniques as technology evolves.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive ransomware incidents.
- Expert knowledge of Windows technologies and roadmaps and their application to a Global organization such as Deloitte.
- Proven ability to develop strategy & work across stakeholders to gain consensus.
- Experience:
- Min 1 year of experience in an IT role required along with specialized knowledge and/or experience in the Windows operating system
- Preferred experience in laptop data recovery and handling various data handling scenarios
- Experience should involve working on ransome ware incidents,working in IT support

A Laptop Data Recovery Analyst is a skilled professional responsible for retrieving and restoring lost, corrupted, or inaccessible data from laptops and other portable computing devices, including handling data recovery scenarios caused by ransomware attacks.
They possess expertise in data recovery techniques, advanced software tools, and hardware diagnostics to recover valuable information from damaged or malware-infected laptops and focus on proactive data backup measures. This role requires a deep understanding of data storage technologies, file systems, and data structures, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills to handle a wide range of data recovery scenarios, including those related to ransomware incidents.
- Familiarity with data backup software and tools, understanding their features, and ability to choose the appropriate backup solution based on the organization’s needs.
- Utilize specialized data recovery software, hardware, and techniques to retrieve lost or deleted data from damaged, corrupted, or malfunctioning laptops. This includes recovering files, folders, documents, images, videos, and other types of data. Collaborate with a broad range of teams to address issues that may hinder data recovery.
- Respond to ransomware incidents and perform data recovery tasks to retrieve encrypted or locked data from infected laptops. Utilize ransomware-specific recovery tools and techniques to restore files to their original state.
- Interact with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of data recovery efforts, explaining technical aspects in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintain detailed records of data recovery procedures, including diagnostic reports, recovery methods used, and the final results, for internal reference and documentation requirements.
