Education, knowledge, and skills Required:-
- Engineering degree required from tier 1 or 2 colleges, preferably Chemical Engineering, interest in the energy industry
- Reading and writing skills in international business English, good communication skills, and a natural bent for multi-tasking
- Strong Office 365 application skills to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams. Advanced Excel skills, Individuals must be comfortable with creating and maintaining pivot tables, data visualizations, IF statements, V/H Lookups, etc.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills in English in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong problem solving and logical reasoning skills – should be able to independently troubleshoot and question data that does not follow logic. Equally, they should be confident to query work to understand and streamline it further.
About the role:-
- IHS Markit would like to hire an Intern to help support the Midstream Oil and NGL team’s research and consulting deliverables. The Intern would report to the Global Lead for Natural Gas Liquids Research & Consulting.
- The intern will have a basic interest in the energy sector (or a related sector) and research ability with knowledge of Microsoft tools, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Job Duties:-
- Support research efforts by conducting internet searches, reading industry journals and periodicals and compiling information on Global energy markets that will be leveraged in the country reports and other deliverables that constitute the Global Midstream subscription services
- Assist in creating and updating regional and country LPG models in excel
- Collect, organize and analyze large amounts of data
- Create graphics, presentations and support individual report production in PowerPoint
- Monitor and analyze regional news and events for use in the deliverables, and for internal market knowledge
